MEMBERS NOTICEBOARD Contained below is the club’s Noticeboard for club members.  Any snippets of information via the club’s communication channels will be listed here.  This will be updated regularly so please keep checking back. If any members have ideas for workshops outside of club evenings, need help with any specific camera related topic or any ideas in general, email the club in confidence by filling in the form from the Contact Us section or click here. Martin Godfrey has for sale: Tamron 10-24mm lens for Canon DSLR camera and Sigma 18-250mm lens for Canon DSLR camera.  He is after £250 per lens.  Click on the link for details about the lens and both lenses are in excellent condition. All club members receive a 10% discount from the Burbage Photo Centre, please support this local business. Members are now able to purchase good quality mount board.  This is already cut to the correct size for competitions (500x400mm or 20x16in).  All you will need to do is cut your window out from the mount and place your picture within.  These are available on club meeting evenings. Constitution

CONSTITUTION – 2015 REVISION 1. Name The club shall be known as Earl Shilton Camera Club. Hereafter will be referred to as the club. 2. Objects The object of the Club shall be: 2.1 To encourage and promote the art and science of photography in all its aspects. 3. Membership There shall be two classes of membership: 3.1 Ordinary Members – Ordinary Members shall be deemed elected to the Club on the receipt of the subscription pending at the time, so long as they shall agree to uphold the dignity of the Club, and be over the age of sixteen years. Applicants younger than 16 years shall be elected to the club subject to parental permission and must be accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for them. 3.2 Honorary Members – The committee shall have the power to elect any persons as Honorary Members to the Club, subject to notification at a General Meeting of the Members. Such persons elected shall have all the privileges of the ordinary members. Any visitors to the Club (i.e. potential member, members of visiting clubs or speakers) will be deemed Honorary Member of the club for the duration of their participation in the Club meeting. 3.3 Guest / New Members – Guest or New Members must be paid up Ordinary Members after attending 3 or more meetings in a given year, if they wish to continue attending regularly. 4. Officers of the Club The officers of the Club shall be:- 4.1 A Chairman. 4.2 A Vice –Chairman. 4.3 A Programme Secretary. 4.4 A Competition Secretary. 4.5 A Treasurer. 4.6 A Club...

COMPETITION RULES 2015/2016 The Earl Shilton Camera Club holds internal competitions and participates in competitions with other camera clubs. The purpose of these competitions is to foster the development of photographic skills for the Club’s members. To this end, members are encouraged to shoot new images for competitions, rather than raiding the archives for something that fits the brief. (A) Monochrome Images 1. All black and white and monochrome images are included; 2. A black and white image which has been modified by the addition of a single tone to the entire image is defined as a Monochrome Image; (B) Colour Images 1. All images other than those in (A) above are defined as colour images; 2. A black and white image which has been modified by the addition of partial toning or by the addition of one colour to any part of the image is a Colour Image; 1. Photographer of the Year a. The title of “Photographer of the Year” is awarded to the photographer who scores the most points in internal print and projected image competitions; b. The “Image of the Year” competition and the “Secretaries Challenge” do not count toward the “Photographer of the Year” award; c. Entries for the Photographer of the Year competition (Print or PDI – defined as Projected Digital Image) must not have been previously submitted into any past Photographer of the Year competition; 2.
